King Henry VIII had the original building, that was built by Edward VII enlarged. The hunting lodge for the estate partially exists on the airfield as Hunsdon Lodge Farm.

Hunsdon Microlight Club uses the three grass runways. All of the remaining buildings at Hunsdon Airfield are no longer accessible due to safety reasons.
