The ISL capability is based on GomSpace's modular SDR (Software Defined Radio) platform. The main SDR board performs all the modulation, demodulation and protocol functions and is connected to three active patch antennas. Each antenna provides filtering, LNA and PA functions. The GomSpace ADS-B receiver, a GomSpace SDR (Software Defined Radio) module, and the Syrlinks EWC27 CubeSat X-band transmitter complete the internal payload stack. The overall satellite layout is shown in Figure 2. The SDR system is built by combining three standalone components: GomSpace NanoCom TR- 600 (transceiver), NanoMind Z-7000 (processor/FPGA-unit) and the NanoDock SDR [5].
